Our Honorable Vice-Principal’s Message

Dr. Shankar E. Warkhede
"Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself."
— John Dewey
Dear Students, Parents, and Esteemed Members of the Bardiya International School Family,
It is an honor and a privilege to pen this message as the Vice-Principal of Bardiya International School & Junior College (CBSE)—an institution that is more than a school; it is a vision fulfilled, a mission in motion, and a community driven by compassion, excellence, and purpose.
When we began our journey in 2016, it was not just the beginning of a school—it was the dawn of a movement. A movement to bring transformational education to the heart of rural Maharashtra, where children often have dreams that stretch beyond the horizon but are limited by circumstances. Under the leadership of Shri Arvind Shantilalji Bardiya, our Hon’ble President, and Shri Ajayji Bardiya, our Hon’ble Secretary, this institution was built brick by brick on the values of service, equality, opportunity, and empowerment.
As someone who has spent decades in the field of education, I can say with conviction that Bardiya International School is unique—not just in its infrastructure or academic design, but in its spirit. Our school is a vibrant, living ecosystem where each child is valued as an individual, not a roll number. Where education is not a race to the top, but a journey toward self-discovery, creativity, discipline, and kindness.
Here at BIS, we firmly believe that a truly educated child is not only equipped with knowledge but also with compassion, courage, and character. Our vision is to shape students who are intellectually curious, emotionally balanced, morally strong, and socially responsible. We strive to cultivate future citizens who can think independently, solve problems creatively, and contribute meaningfully to the world—while staying deeply rooted in the timeless values of Indian heritage.
Each day at BIS begins with more than just a bell—it begins with purpose. Whether it’s the sacred rhythm of shloka chanting, the calm discipline of yoga, the scientific inquiry unfolding in our labs, or the hands-on artistry in art and craft sessions, our school life is designed to touch every dimension of a child’s personality. Our House System instills leadership, cooperation, and healthy competition, while music, dance, sports, and field trips add vibrancy and excitement to their holistic development.
The role of a teacher at BIS is that of a mentor, facilitator, and lifelong guide. Our educators are not limited to delivering lessons; they inspire transformation. They work tirelessly to understand every child’s strength and help them turn it into a skill. Whether it’s motivating a shy student to speak on stage or helping a curious learner explore advanced concepts in science or math—our faculty walks with the child at every step of their journey.
As Vice-Principal, I see my role not just in academic supervision but in creating an environment where every child feels safe, heard, and motivated to dream bigger. I believe in open communication, collaboration with parents, and a school culture where mutual respect, integrity, and continuous improvement are at the core of our everyday interactions.
Our commitment to rural empowerment also remains central. The fact that we run school buses to remote villages, offer affordable fee structures, and ensure that no child is left behind—speaks volumes of our intent. We want education to reach the doorsteps of every aspiring child in our community.
To the parents—I thank you for your faith and your partnership. Your involvement is the strongest foundation upon which we build your child’s future. Together, we can shape not just brilliant students, but responsible human beings who can lead with both intellect and empathy.
And to my dear students—I say this with all my heart: You are capable of achieving greatness. Not because the world expects it, but because it lies within you. Every effort you make, every challenge you face, every lesson you learn—brings you one step closer to the best version of yourself. Stay curious, stay kind, and never stop believing in your potential.
As we continue to walk this path together, I am filled with hope for what lies ahead. Bardiya International School is not just preparing students for exams—we are preparing them for life.
With warm regards and unwavering commitment,
Dr. Shankar E. Warkhede
